Steel Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd is the only rolling mill in Sabah at present. It uses state-of-the-art computerized operation control from Siemens PLC and a Japanese designed 35mt/hr re-heating furnace of dual system. The installation of a quenching process system enables production of High Tensile Deformed bars that are highly malleable and weldable.

The plant is located on a 15 acres site in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and is capable of producing Hot Rolled Ribbed Weldable Reinforcing Steel Bar ( Grade B500B ) and Mild Steel Round Bar ( Grade 250 ) of standard length 12 m with sizes ranging from 10 mm to 32 mm which are conformed to MS 144, MS 146. The total annual capacity of the plant is 150,000 mt and it requires about 120 workers for 2 shifts operating 24 hours a day.
